Before you can begin publishing Google Adsense ads you will need a booming web presence that is getting traffic. Really there is no reason to publish any ads if your website is getting low to no traffic you should wait until you are ranking in Google and other major search engines for competitive terms. If you would like to start a presence go to blogger.com, wordpress.com, 000webhost.com, or webs.com. All of these will allow you to create a free website or blog. These also will give you a free domain name which will save you around ten dollars per year. Personally I think the best type of presence is a blog since updating is extremely easy. During the creation of your web presence you can begin thinking about where you would like to display ads after your website becomes successful.
After the presence is up and running with a decent amount of traffic it is time to place the ads. There are two things which determine how much you can make from your adsense ads. The first and most important is how much traffic you are getting. If you are only getting a few hits per day then you will not earn very much from adsense. One good rule of thumb is you will earn approximately one dollar for every hundred visitors. This of course is only a estimation since the income differs from keyword to keyword, but in my experience running an online business blog and internet marketing blog the average amount I earn is one dollar per hundred visitors. The other factor that will determine how much you will make from adsense is the placement of the ads. To find the best place you will need to experiment with different placements. In my experience the highest clicked on placement is above the fold and towards the center of the presence.
